The Spill Canvas - “Staplegunned”

omg. this song.

Kay, so the first legit show I ever went to was The Spill Canvas, Ok Go, and Motion City Soundtrack. (And by legit, I mean that they had a record label.) Weird lineup right? Ok Go didn’t fit at all, but I ended up being obsessed with them for years, but that’s another story.

Anyways, I remember the singer like crying during this song. Actually crying. I remember thinking he was so deep and sensitive. Oh, and that their bassist looked like Heath Ledger. Hot.

This night has since been referred to by my friends and I as “the best night ever.”

Next morning Erin’s mom made us smoothies and we wore our band tshirts to school. I thought I was so cool, with my chucks and my motion city shirt. haha.

I’m totally heading over to Slims to see a show there. I’ve just got to. Cuz who knows when I’ll be back again.
